Families of Childcare USA - As most of you now know, Childcare USA is now under the new ownership of Otter Learning, a best-in-class network of early childhood education schools focused on social and academic success. As part of our mission to provide exceptional childcare services to the families we serve, we wholeheartedly believe in providing resources to improve the educational experience for students, parents and teachers.
We are incredibly excited to officially announce that Childcare USA will be partnering with Brightwheel, the leading early childhood education and parent engagement platform that has been purpose built for childcare centers. All parents and approved family members have received an email invite to download the Brightwheel application to link to your child's profile.
Brightwheel offers a number of exciting features which we believe will help transform the daily school experience for you and your family.
Check-in:
We will replace the existing check-in / check-out system with a new tablet-based kiosk. Each family member with pickup approval will receive a distinct code to be entered for drop-off and pick-up. The new kiosk will be located in the lobby at the entrance to the school. We ask that you please ensure that your child is properly checked in at the kiosk prior to entering and exiting the school. This makes it much easier for our staff to keep track of our student's attendance.
Billing:
In an effort to streamline the billing process, all tuition payments will now be made digitally via the Brightwheel app. Childcare USA will no longer accept cash or checks. Parents have the option to pay by credit card or through automatic ACH payments. We are very excited about this development as this will allow our directors and staff to be more engaged with children and families throughout the school day.
Parent / Teacher Engagement:
One of the most exciting features about Brightwheel is the ability to connect parents and teachers so you can follow your little one's progress throughout the day and school year. Going forward, our staff will be posting daily photos and videos, accomplishments, class updates and many other exciting developments to Brightwheel. Parents can also engage directly with their child's teacher, updating them on absences, early pick-ups and more directly through the app. Brightwheel chronicles all daily activities and can even send an automatic daily report to families providing an overview of all the exciting activities your child experienced throughout the day.
